The first official image of the “God of War” series was released

After almost a few weeks of talking about the actors of the “God of War” series, Sony and Amazon have released the first official image of this series. The published image shows the two main characters of this series, Kratos and his son Atreus, in a completely representative appearance of the game.

Ryan Hurst, who played Thor in God of War Ragnarok, has been cast as Kratos in the Amazon series God of War. This actor, who is best known for his roles in series such as Walking Dead or Sons of Chaos, has become very similar to Kratos in the series. In the published image, we can see next to him “Callum Vinson”, who is entrusted with the role of Kratos’ son, Atreus. Atreus in the series looks a few years younger than Atreus in the game.

Keep in mind that the published image is not a frame from the final series and the photo is on the set and above all, it shows the environment and clothes of the characters, not the final version or even the image and color of the series.

With all that being said, this released image remains very similar to the game and this is a bit worrying, because what is the need to imitate and copy a game when the game itself is very cinematic and contains the best possible direction and performances.

The God of War series is currently going to have at least two seasons and will adapt the story of God of War and God of War Ragnarok. This series is planned to be shown in 2027. Apart from God of War, Amazon is also working on a Tome Reader series, which has just started filming.
