New devices running Windows 11 that will be released starting in 2024 will have the new Outlook software as the default and pre-installed application. However, users will still have access to the email and calendar apps until the end of 2024 and can download them until the end of the year.
To try the new Outlook program, click on the switch button in the upper right corner of Windows Mail so that the process of installing and importing your email settings from the Mail program to the new Outlook program is done automatically without the need for additional steps.
Originally developed for Windows 10, Windows Mail and Calendar are built-in Windows applications that provide an easy-to-use interface for retrieving email, scheduling events, activities, and appointments. To test the new Outlook app, click the switch button in the upper-right corner of Windows Mail to automatically install and import your email settings from the Mail app.
