As expected, Expedition won in every category it was nominated for, except for sound design, and the French game makers in their funny “Thank you, thank you” clothes received their awards under the wise eye of Hideo Kojima. So far, we don’t have a problem, because Joe Sal was also with Expedition 33, and Jeff Keely and his Game Awards wanted to keep up, but why else did they give such an award to the second season of Last of Ace?
Let’s first review the nominees in the “Best Adaptation of the Year” category:
- Minecraft movie
- Until dawn movie (Antill Dawn)
- The animated series Shaytan also cries (Devil May Cry)
- The animated series Splinter Cell: Guardian of Death
- and the second season of the series Last of Ace (the last survivor of us)
I must also point out the strange fact that the excellent movie “Sonic 3” with Jim Carrey’s epic performance was not nominated, while every other movie and series that was directly or indirectly adapted from a game was nominated here.
Aside from this matter, how can the second season of Last of Ace, which is a piecemeal adaptation of the second game that brought together the voices of the audience and the critics, be nominated and even win the award for the best adaptation. A work that revealed the excellent and avant-garde story and narration of the second game at the very beginning of the case for fear of not accompanying the audience with the next chapters.

So why should this series continue for a few more seasons? Each season is enough for each game, just like the first season, which was an exact adaptation of the first game. It satisfied the fans including myself and gained a new audience and got good marks from the critics. The same effect turned into its opposite in the second season, and the most important factors of success, which are the story, script, and actors, made the series vulgar and left an unwatchable effect.
Eli, played by Bella Ramsey, who was a naughty teenager in the first season, has now become a spoiled and babbling child, which makes the audience of the series, especially those who have played the video game, wonder why he should play this role and why it was written so poorly.

This season could have taken the narrative path of the second game, had better actors and not been so full of Wook Zorchian elements.
The second season was questioned and criticized so much that the writer Holly Grass and Neil Druckman, the director of the second part, released a statement and withdrew from the production of the third season. Then Mr. Neil Druckman will appear at the Game Awards ceremony to receive the award for the best video game adaptation!
Satan also cries and Splinter Cell and especially until Tolo aside, why didn’t the prize go to the fun and funny Minecraft movie produced by the successful studio of Warner Brothers, which sold a billion dollars and heated up the theaters?

Finally, this year, like previous years, we didn’t miss the Game Awards and enjoyed the unveilings and trailers.
