Sega and Creative Assembly have announced that Total War: WARHAMMER 40,000 is in development for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. This game is supposed to fully display the brutal darkness of the 41st millennium, and with four playable factions, customizable armies, apocalyptic weapons and strategic battles, it takes a big step forward.
It should be mentioned that during the recent livestream of Creative Assembly during which Total War: Medieval 3 was officially introduced, some sharp players noticed what they considered to be a teaser for a work in the world of Warhammer 40000; A world that fans have been counting down for years to appear in Total War. In fact, at the 32:42 minute of the video, three files were seen, all of which were named 40k. Although this was not an official confirmation, it fueled speculations even more. There have been various rumors between Creative Assembly and Games Workshop fans over the past months, and given the massive popularity of the Total War: Warhammer series, many were hoping that the series would finally enter the 41st millennium.

Now it seems that all those rumors were true. Total War: Warhammer 40,000 was introduced at the Game Awards by Stranger Things actor David Harbour; Someone who will play the role of an unknown character in the game. The game starts with four iconic factions, namely Space Marines, Orks, Aeldari, Astra Militarum, and for the first time in the history of Total War, players can completely customize their army and change the naming, symbols, combat equipment, characteristics and tactics according to their preferences.
The massive and classic battles of Total War will reach a whole new level in Warhammer 40,000. Devastating wars will take place in war-torn worlds with diverse ecosystems, destructible environments and brutal war machines. Huge campaigns are formed on a galactic scale, and players can manage their economic and war network in different star systems, and finally, if destroying a planet with simultaneous battles is not enough, apocalyptic weapons such as Exterminatus can completely eliminate a world and deprive allies and enemies of vital resources.
Of course, the development of the game will take several years and there is currently no news of the release date, but the creators have promised to keep the players informed during the development of this game along with Total War: Medieval 3. You can see the published trailer below.
