The CEO of Tehran Municipality’s Information and Communication Technology Organization announced this morning on the sidelines of a press conference in line with the third Smart Tehran Conference and Exhibition, which was held with the presence of journalists: Smart Tehran has started precisely this year and we are in the first steps. Farjoud continued: The main goal of holding the Smart Tehran Conference is to make Tehran a platform for discussion and dialogue about the Smart City.
He added: Smart Tehran Week will start tomorrow, Tuesday, December 12, and will continue until next week. We have named the day after Tehran Innovative Day, which is special for startups in the urban area. Farjoud pointed out: On Tuesday, December 12, we will also hold a technology fair at Haftham Tir Plaza as a place to present the technologies that have entered people’s lives today.
He continued: Also, two challenges will be held this week, one is related to artificial intelligence and the other is an innovative challenge in the field of urban data. The CEO of Tehran Municipality’s Information Technology Organization added: This week we will open the innovative centers of the smart city.
Farjoud said: On Monday of next week, on December 18th, we will witness the implementation of the Smart Tehran Conference, where the Mayor of Tehran and the Minister of Communications will be special guests of this conference. He clarified: It has been planned that twelve specialized panels will be held from Monday noon to Tuesday evening in the area of smartening the city.
The CEO of Fawa of Tehran Municipality continued: Of course, in addition to these twelve panels and meetings, 6 internal and external workshops will be held and the achievements of urban smart building will be examined. Farjoud added: In these two days, an exhibition will be held in Smart City, where 50 startups have announced their readiness to participate in it, and the participation is free for startups.
He said: A new work that is being done is that a secondary exhibition will be held, which is an exhibition to present the needs of the municipality. In these exhibitions, each of the organizations presents their pre-calculated needs so that the startups have more opportunities to operate.
The CEO of Tehran Municipality’s Information Technology Organization noted: For the first time, Smart City Fan Bazaar will be held in cooperation with National Fan Bazaar and will have a permanent secretariat.
Farjoud continued: One of the complaints from the second smart city conference was that the scientific load of this conference was low, therefore this year we considered a place to present scientific articles and this part of the conference will be implemented in cooperation with Amirkabir University. . He added: Our intention was not that in this conference the FAVA organization is only supposed to perform, but that all the managers of smart cities in the country are supposed to come and express their opinions and ideas.
The CEO of Fawa of Tehran Municipality said: We will have a series of new innovations in the area of Tehran’s system, and a series of new services will be added to this system so that things can be implemented more intelligently. Farjoud clarified: For example, today you can buy a metro ticket from the Tehran Man system and pass through the metro gates without the need to print a ticket and just with the provided two-dimensional barcode.
He continued: Another innovation of the My Tehran system is the issue of registering urban problems, which no longer requires contacting the 137 system, and you can register problems by simply logging into the My Tehran system and even add photos, videos, and locations. .
In response to a question about innovative areas and their activity status, Farjoud continued: In Tehran, we have several plans for the development of innovation, one of which is the issue of innovative areas. He added: One of these areas is located in District 6 of Tehran because there are many universities in this area and innovative areas can be created on their outskirts.
CEO of Fawa of Tehran Municipality said: Of course, it is not enough only for this area, and we have plans in areas 2, 4 and 14, and efforts are being made to spread the areas throughout the city. Farjoud noted: We have had good cooperation with other organizations in the field of information exchange, and even today we have a good relationship with the Scientific Vice President and the Ministry of Communications.
He continued: “The Ministry of Communications has provided us with a building to carry out joint works, and by the way, it was not the case that the works were temporary and would not last forever.” The CEO of Tehran Municipality’s Information Technology Organization said about how this conference is going to benefit the city this year: For example, in the field of traffic, we are facing a multifaceted issue.
Farjoud said: This multifaceted issue cannot be resolved with just one program and one plan. For example, in the field of traffic in Tehran, we should turn to urban zoning and many other tasks. He clarified: Today, we have uploaded the city traffic map in my Tehran system in real time, so that people know which route is better to use before leaving with their car.
The CEO of Fawa of Tehran Municipality continued: Another issue that should be paid attention to in the discussion of traffic and smart city is that we should take a step in the direction of reducing the amount of people’s trips. Farjoud added: “Traffic can be solved with a smart city, but on the condition that we step in the direction of reducing people’s traffic.” It means that people don’t need to travel in the city to do personal work and can solve their problems from home or work.
Regarding what measures have been taken so that there would be no problem with the use of city applications when the internet is down, he said: “We have had the applications of Tehran municipality active during all these days when the global internet was down, and from now on they will be active in these times as well.” Was.
The CEO of Tehran Municipality’s Information Technology Organization, regarding the amount of budget for this conference, said: “There is no specific cost for this conference, and efforts have been made to organize this conference with the cooperation of the private sector, so as not to put a large financial burden on Municipality should not be imposed.
Farjoud continued: We do not intend to create a parallel work with 137 by creating some services in the system of Tehran Man, but our intention is to make accesses and solving problems easy. He added: In the field of transparency system, we also accept some of its problems, but that system is more of a dashboard to present a series of data.
Fawa CEO of Tehran Municipality, especially when it comes to Tehran being smart and you say that work should be done based on data analysis, while today this work is not done and we have seen today that even the municipal information about the correct implementation of the new traffic plan and its impact It is not up-to-date on air pollution, what is your plan for this issue? He said: It is true that traffic and pollution are related, but they are two independent issues.
Farjoud clarified: The groups that are working in Fawa must provide the data that is needed for the analysis, and whether all these data are sufficient or not, the traffic transportation vice-chancellor must give an opinion. He continued: Before 2017, you only had three modes: when to enter and when to leave, and how much is in the plan, while today, the way to calculate traffic tolls is calculated for more than 8 models.
