The Spinal Tap is a particular movie; On the one hand, it is a document that depicts the Rock and Roll world more realistic than any documentary, on the other hand, so crazy and ridiculous that people have been believed to be a real group Spinal Tap. If it weren’t for “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”, Spinal Tap would be the most important turning point in the history of comedy cinema. On the occasion of the 5th anniversary of the Spinal Tap movie and, of course, the sequel to release later this year, it’s time to criticize this masterpiece of rock and roll.
Criticism of “Spinal Tap” movie; Rock glory!
There are many documentaries about rock and metal groups. In the 1980s, we also have “The Decline of Western Civilization Part II: The Metal Years), from Alice Cooper, to Megadith and Poisen and Foster PossiCket; But even the real documentary of Penlopa Ogris, described as one of the classic documentary documentaries of metal history, cannot portray the reality of the music world of those years as much as Spinal Tap.
From Osburne’s Azazi, to Dave Mostin and U2, ask every racers, telling you that the moment has experienced the Spinal Tap in reality; From missing in the corridors behind the Stage, to the sudden and numerous deaths of drams, executives who do not know the limit, the fight for Yoko Ono’s loved ones who disrupt the entire group balance, and even go to Japan in hopes of re-living.

Spinal Tap is Rob Rainer’s first feature film to begin his career in the late 1980s with television, and then appeared in the CBS Decade Comedy series “All in Family” in the role of Liberal Archi Banker, Michael. During these years he continued writing until he was directed in the 1980s. Rainer made movies like “Stand by Me”, “When Harry Met Sally …” (A few good men “, but all of these classic titles began with Spinal Tap.
Spinal Tap is a fantasy British Hui Group of the same name in its documentary format. Rob Rainer himself plays the role of filmmaking, Marty Diggie, who wants to make a documentary on the album, live performances and challenges behind the Spinal Tap. The story begins with the release of the album Smell the Glove, which launches a controversy over the cover of the album. Following on from several catastrophic performances, the death of the dragons, the tension between the members of the group, and the separations, the ups and downs in the Spinal Tap, and Marty Diggie follows all of this with the seriousness of a real documentary; With all the misfortunes, glamor and self -esteem of decade -long rocks.

It is really surprising about how Rainer went to the first director of his long film, “Spinal Tap”; A film that is its own chaos and made it even difficult for a veteran director. Rainer, however, has not only been able to pull out of hundreds of hours of film, a correct and coherent documentary, which has made one of the most hilarious comedies in history. If you are not familiar with the Rock and Roll world, some of its jokes may seem meaningless to you, but with the clown of three Spinal Tap genius actors, I promise some of the tallest laughs of your life with this movie.
Beyond Rainer’s inherent intelligence directed by Spinal Tap in the form of a documentary, the film was not realized without the abilities of Michael McCain, Christopher Gost and Harry Shirre, whose musical talents would be at least as part of their acting and comedy. These three roles play members of the clause: McCain appears in the role of Mick Jagger-David Saint-Habins, a Jimmy Page style, and Nigel Tafnel, Harry Shirr also plays a cool baseplay and a pip-in-chief. Each with unique and sometimes contradictory characters, they hit their own instrument, and this is the beginning of the Spinal Tap challenges.

The comedy and “Spinal Tap” music loads on the shoulders of the three. They take the stereotypes about rock and metal groups and thicken and deliver the audience in their own style. Much of their talk is all the improvisation of McCain, Gostan and Shirler, which easily lines up, and where one points, the other is picking the sentence. It is a natural stream that I have the right to think that they have had their own bonds for years. But it is hard to believe that these three are not even English; Let alone a member of a Galm Mutal strap.
Except for the Spinal Tap comedy, which if you know something behind the scenes of the rock and metal world, the Spinal Tap has really good music! Is less likely to be found in our polylists; Let alone a comedy film that wants to ridicule the rock and metal world. Spinal Tap, however, with Big Bottom, Flower People, Bitch School and many other pieces are still in today’s rock and roll vocabulary.
The “Spinal Tap” legacy continues

It is strange that more than five years have passed since the Spinal Tap release, but Rainer is still relevant. According to Nigel Toffenel, “the narrow boundary between stupidity and intelligence” and “Spinal Tap” knows how to play on this border. This film is one of the best documentaries in history and undoubtedly the most frustrating of its wolves to eleven. With realistic performances, global and electric stages and improvisation of three comedy geniuses, Spinal Tap is the best representation of the bold world of metal and rock and rock and decade -long rollers that if Michael McChe’s hat was not real, many others would probably have been realized.
Positive Tips
- Lasting music
- Excellent performance of McCain, Shirler and Gost
- Pure comedy with intelligent improvisation
Negative points
With the forty years of memories and nostalgia we have with the original film, the news of a Spinal Tap movie is both worrying and promising. At the same time as the film is out of the Creiterion Archive, Spinal Tap II: The End Continues re -brings together members of the clause and is due to be released on September 9 this year.
Although I don’t think even Spinal Tap itself can surpass themselves, there is no doubt that the best time to return Spinal Tap is now. In the days when David Lee Roth continues to sing, Megadith makes a video with artificial intelligence and each group has its own Crypto project, or all the farewell tours and metallic bonds that have passed but are still not stagnant, now we need a “spinal tap” to today.
