Recently, Kadokawa Corporation, Crunchyroll and Qzil.LA and Arch studios have officially announced the production of the Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice anime as Sekiro: No Defeat. The anime will be broadcast exclusively through Crancurrrol worldwide except in Japan, China, Korea, Russia and Belarus.
The anime flows during the Japanese Sanguko era. The country is divided into various independent segments that are caught in endless war. At the center of this chaos, the land of Ashina is a sacred land full of ancient mystery. Two decades after Ishin Ashina recaptured the area in a bloody coup, it came from within a new threat and the Interior Ministry. To protect his land, the grandson of Ishin, Gen Ichiro, turns to forbidden powers. The only hope of salvation is a kidnapped boy; A divine heir and his silent bodyguard, a loyal shinobi, is known only as “Sekiro”. In fact, this is the story of a master and a servant and their efforts to restore balance to a land on the verge of destruction.

Kenichi Kutsuna, director of the adaptation, known for working on anime such as Pulala Magi Madoka Magica and One Punch Man, said:
We are taking a big step towards the stunning beauty of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice in the form of animation. Along this way, we spend all our artistic creativity to make a memorable work; A work that will have a lasting impact on both the old fans of the game and those who first get acquainted with the world of Seekiro.
In the meantime, Asa Suehira, chief executive of Cranchehol’s content, also announced:
Sekiro is known for its accuracy and severity of his struggles, and these features are well included in this anime adaptation. We are very excited to bring Sekiro: No Defeat to fans around the world, and we are proud to work with Kadokawa, Kozil.la and Arch to spread this symbolic story through anime medium.
