Openai’s Artificial Intelligence Company has reached an agreement with the US government to provide the ChatGPT tool to its federal institutions for almost free.
OpenAI has taken some interesting action to remove competitors like Google and Anthropics, according to Singh Crinch. The artificial intelligence giant has reached an agreement with the US Public Services Office (GSA), the central arm of the government, to provide the federal agencies for a year for the ChatGPT ChatGPT ChatGPT Enterprise ChatGPT Enterprise.
ChatGPT is available to various US organizations
The announcement of the cooperation of Openai and the federal institutions is just a day after the GSA Public Service (GSA) added the names of Openai, Google and Anthropics to the list of approved artificial intelligence vendors. The list allows companies to provide services to civilian federal agencies.
It is still unclear whether Google and Anthropic companies will also provide such a significant discount. But Josh Gruenboum, a federal commissioner at the GSA administration, encouraged other American artificial intelligence technology companies to “take a role model for Openai and collaborate with us.” Google and Anthropics have not yet responded to this issue.
In addition to almost free access to ChatGpt Enterprise, Openai also offers unlimited use of its advanced models to US federal organizations for extra 5 days. Federal employees will also have access to a new government user community and basic educational resources tailored to their needs to get acquainted with Openai tools.
The heavy discount of Openai was presented to the US federal institutions just a few weeks after the Trump administration’s release of artificial intelligence. One of the important goals of this program is to increase the construction of data centers and expand the use of artificial intelligence tools in the government.
