Google announced the test of a new artificial intelligence tool called OPAL; A platform that allows users to create a web app by writing a simple explanation.
This tool, which is currently available through Google Labs to US users, allows users to create simple, interactive apps or modify existing apps by entering a text command. Once the initial production, users can view and even edit the app’s construction process.
OPAL, using Google’s dedicated artificial intelligence models, offers a visual workflow of inputs, outputs and production steps, each of which is customizable. It also enables the release of the app built and shared with others online.
Analysts say Google is trying to bring non -specialist users into the world development world; Similarly, tools such as Figma, Canva and Replit have done.
Although Google had previously offered Prompt -based tools on AI Studio, OPAL focus on simplicity, coding design, and visual experience shows that the company wants to open a wide range of users to the world of app manufacturing, from designers and startups to ordinary enthusiasts.
Given the rapid growth of artificial intelligence tools in the field of programming, competition in this space is hotter than ever, and Google’s entry into this field has a clear message for other players in the market.
