According to the United Nations Human Development Report, Iran is ranked in the world with an index of 1.2 and is classified as “High Human Development”. The report, titled “The Issue of Selection: Humanity and Possibilities in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” emphasizes the evolutionary role of technology in redefining the path of human development in today’s world.
Slow growth, unequal perspective
This year’s report warns that after the unprecedented crises of years 1 and 2, human development in many countries has been unprecedented. According to the analysis, the global growth of the Human Development Index (HDI) has reached its lowest level since its critical years.
Also, the gap between countries with high and low human development is expanding; A phenomenon that has revealed the process of convergence over the past few decades and sounds a new alarm for the global development system.
Iran; Forward move with new challenges
Iran’s human development index has increased from 4.9 to 4.9 over the past three decades, indicating a 4.9 percent growth. However, rankings 1 among the nine countries in the world suggest that there is a growth and improvement capacity.
Experts believe that, as natural resources, climate crises and future economic challenges have restricted development, artificial intelligence can play a key role in opening new horizons for Iran. Artificial intelligence -based innovations in areas such as education, health, employment and digital governance have the capacity to become a growth acceleration; Provided that policymaking in this field is intelligent, human -centered and pervasive.
Artificial intelligence; A new transformation or challenge tool?
The report, citing a global poll, shows that people have a look at the developments caused by artificial intelligence. Half of the respondents are likely to automate their jobs in the future, but 5 % believe that AI can help create new opportunities.
In countries with low or medium human development index, 5 % of participants believe that artificial intelligence will increase their productivity, and nearly two -thirds predict that they will use the technology in areas such as education, health or work in the next year.
Three priorities for the future
In the end, the report proposes three key areas for successful digital transition policy:
- Recrection of economies for human cooperation and artificial intelligence rather than competition between them
- Human participation in the entire life cycle of artificial intelligence
- Modernization of education and health to meet the needs of the 5th century
Pedro Concirau, director of the UN Human Development Report Bureau, has emphasized that today’s decisions on artificial intelligence will have a decisive legacy for the future of human development. According to him, “if policies are based on human -based policy, artificial intelligence can become a comprehensive tool for empowering people, from farmers to small business owners.”
