The general artificial intelligence plan, designed to organize and strengthen this area in the country, was approved by the Parliament’s Committee on Industries and Mines. The project, which was finalized after six months of review, will soon go to the open court to go through the final stages of legalization.
According to the details of the project, the National Artificial Intelligence Organization is to be established as a strategic body in this area. The organization will operate under the direct supervision of the President and will serve as the main focus of the development and guidance of artificial intelligence programs and policies in the country. One of the main tasks of this organization is to coordinate and target various agencies such as the Ministry of Communications, the Vice President of Science, the Ministry of Science and the Ministry of Education.
The organization will also be responsible for other responsibilities, including specialized human resources training, data management, which is the basis of artificial intelligence, processor development, strategic studies, and regulations governing artificial intelligence.
Following some criticisms of the possibility of parallelism with the Ministry of Communications, Mustafa Taheri, chairman of the Committee on Communication and Information Technology, explained that after reviewing global models, it was decided that a transcendental entity was established under the president’s supervision so that it could have more complete oversight and aristocracy of all government and sovereignty.
The project, which has been introduced as one of the key approvals of the Industrial Commission, must now be finalized in the open court to begin its implementation after its approval.
