Information released on the Openai Support page shows that the company may soon be able to go through the identity verification process to access certain models of artificial intelligence.
According to the information on this page, the process is called the Verified Organization Identity Process, and Openai has described it as a new method for developers to unlock access to the company’s most advanced platform models and capabilities. This verification process involves providing a valid ID card of one of the countries that Openai supports.
Openai action to reduce destructive use of artificial intelligence models
According to Openai, the ID card can approve only one organization in the six -day period, and not all organizations will be eligible to participate in the process.
Openai on its support page says a small number of developers use the company’s APIs to violate the rules and take into account the identity verification process to prevent such actions. “To reduce the insecure use of artificial intelligence and to provide access to advanced models to a wider community of developers, we are adding an identity approval process,” the company said.
OpenAI artificial intelligence models have become much more complex and smart with recent updates, and the use of identity approval can reduce the likelihood of exploiting these models. The company had previously said that North Korea -based people had identified efforts to delete their models.
This decision may also be made to prevent theft of intellectual property. It was previously reported that a group associated with the Chinese Dip -Sick Startup had stolen a large volume of Openai data. This data is apparently used to teach dipsic models. Openai had blocked access to its servers in China last summer.
