Openai has imposed temporary restrictions due to the high volume of image production requests in ChatGPT. Explaining the decision, Sam Altman, CEO of the company, said that the intensity of the capability was so high that their GPU processors were under intense pressure.
According to the official announcement, free ChatGPT users will soon be allowed to produce up to 5 images a day. Although the exact amount of restriction for money users has not been specified, they have been confirmed that they will also face restrictions. These restrictions are temporary, and the Openai technical team is working on system optimization to increase processing capacity.
The decision is made to welcome the improved version of the GPT-4O-based image production. This new model, which is capable of creating more realistic images and better text processing in images, needs significant computational and energy resources. The pressure from these requests was such that Openai had previously had to delay the release of this feature to users.
The event represents the technical challenges facing artificial intelligence developers in the face of widespread users. On the one hand, improving capabilities and providing advanced services is essential, and on the other hand, the management of hardware resources and energy needed for these systems is a fundamental challenge.

Altman expressed hope that these restrictions would not continue for a long time, and Openai could soon improve the efficiency of the system. This has once again highlighted the importance of developing appropriate infrastructure to support advanced artificial intelligence technologies.
