Digital Digital Literature Details:
- Meta uses the Libgen illegal library, which contains more than 1.5 million books and 2 million scientific articles.
- Meta software engineers directly approved Mark Zuckerberg to teach the Lama model.
- The company did not even buy a legal copy of the books.
Reactions to Meta Scandal:
“The problem is not Libgen that provides content for free, the meta problem is the problem that has used these materials for profitability,” said Wiard magazine author Justin Ling, referring to the presence of his book in the series. However, many authors and researchers can examine whether their works have been used without permission through the new tools created by the Atlantic.
Global Challenge of Educational Data:
Computer science scientist Stewart Russell had previously warned: “We are literally completing the texts in the world to teach these systems.” This lack of educational resources has led technology companies to turn immoral.
Future of Digital Rights:
The lawsuit against Meta will continue until next summer, but the injury has already been done. The Lama model is now widely used on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp platforms. This has raised serious questions about the future of authors’ rights, artificial intelligence ethics and data monopoly by technology giants.
