A few weeks after the initial release of Mistral Artificial Intelligence Assistant through the Le Chat app, the company announced to the Le Parisien newspaper that the number of downloads has reached one million. This app, especially in France, the birthplace of Mistral, was quickly topped by the list of free iOS app downloads.
French President Emmanuel Macron said in a television interview before the AI Action Summit meeting in Paris, “Instead of ChatGPT from Openai or other programs, download the Le Chat app built by Mistral.”
Of course, the Le Chat app is not the first artificial intelligence app to achieve such a success. Openai was able to attract much attention in November with the release of ChatGpt chats. The program, despite the initial restriction on iOS users in the US, reached 6,000 downloads in just six days. According to new AppFigures statistics, the number of downloads of the app has so far reached 5 million times.
On the other hand, the Deepseek Artificial Intelligence app between January 1 and January (in 2 days) was able to record one million downloads. The app has now rejected the 5 million download boundaries on Google Play. But that was the only beginning of the work; Because the Chinese program became widely popular in late January and attracted millions of new users in a few days.
Mistral is also facing major technology competitors. Companies such as Google and Microsoft also intend to share the market for artificial intelligence assistants and find a place on the home phone page of users. Google has been competing with Gemini and Microsoft with Copilot.
Now we have to see if Ilan Musk and Grok can achieve a significant success as competitors after released the third version of this model.
