The CEO of Salesforce has recently criticized Microsoft’s actions in the field of artificial intelligence, saying that the company’s actions are disappointing.
According to Windows Central, Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff, who appeared on a recent episode of the Bartlett Show podcast, said Microsoft’s handling of artificial intelligence has disappointed everyone. The CEO of Salesforce believes that Microsoft has repackaged OpenAI products and brought them into its own software, including Excel.

Another part of Benioff’s speech was dedicated to criticizing Microsoft Copilot. The CEO of Salesforce said that based on the feedback he received from customers, they are not that impressed with Microsoft Copilot and even rarely use it.
Of course, this is not the first time that Salesforce’s CEO has criticized Microsoft’s and CoPilot’s AI efforts. Last October, the tech executive claimed that Microsoft’s artificial intelligence efforts were a big mistake in the industry, and that Copilot was Clippy, Microsoft’s assistant project for Office, that had failed. It also believes that Copilot does not work properly and does not provide value.
Salesforce’s CEO called his company the world’s largest AI provider, capable of processing trillions of AI transactions per week. He further added that the company’s Agentforce service is exactly what artificial intelligence should be.
Of course, it seems that part of Benioff’s criticism of Microsoft Copilot is true. Some reports indicated that Microsoft is dependent on third-party companies to enable CoPilot in Microsoft 365 applications.
Additionally, a top Microsoft executive recently described Copilot’s AI tools as “gimmicky.” This term is used for tools whose purpose is to attract attention. A number of Microsoft employees have also raised concerns about the security and privacy of users in Copilot and said that these issues could take years to resolve.
