OpenAI’s CEO, mother and 2 brothers said in a statement posted by Sam Altman on X (pictured below):
“She has made deeply disturbing and completely false claims about our family and Sam in particular.”
In the continuation of this statement, it has been said that he made conspiratorial claims about various family members and demanded money in return. Altman’s family also says they have supported him financially, but that he has turned down offers of medical help and treatment.
The sister of the CEO of OpenAI claims in her complaint that Altman sexually abused her from 1997 to 2006. He says the period began when Ann was three and Sam was 12, and continued until the OpenAI CEO reached adulthood.
Ann says in her complaint that she suffers from “severe emotional distress” and is unable to lead a “normal life” because of the abuse.
In response to Altman’s family’s statement, his lawyer says they have tried to distract attention from the harm they have caused. He also said about it, “There is no evidence that his mental health played a role in making these claims.”
