At CES 2025, Panasonic unveiled the artificial intelligence digital assistant Umi. This artificial intelligence is a personal health coach for families created in partnership with Entropy. Umi uses Claude’s artificial intelligence model to “care, coordinate and connect” family members.
According to TechCrunch’s report, Umi’s artificial intelligence helps family members spend more time and interact with each other; Users can also chat with it. At the Panasonic Umi conference, it was available in an app where family members could talk to group AI and set, plan and manage their various goals.
Panasonic says the app could also be useful for those who have elderly parents who can’t be there for them. Through this artificial intelligence, parents can learn about the plans and status of other family members remotely and participate in them.
