Google’s NotebookLM AI, which can turn your texts into podcasts, has received a new interactive feature. Now you can talk to the artificial intelligence by voice while producing the podcast and it will give you an answer in the moment.

According to Google’s announcement, now in the Audio Overviews section, you can have real-time interaction with the artificial intelligence virtual podcast host. Of course, this feature is still in beta testing. After choosing Interactive mode, you can interrupt the AI ​​conversation and ask it about the topic you want; In this new mode, you also become a guest of this podcast and can chat with the host.

Google’s new NotebookLM feature

Although the new feature will give you a better overall podcast from the various sources you feed the AI, Google cautions that the feature is still in beta and podcast hosts may pause a lot before responding or sometimes provide incorrect information. .

In addition to voice interaction, Google has also changed the user interface of NotebookLM; There are now 3 sections in the environment of this tool: a panel called Sources on the left, the “Chat” panel in the middle to talk to the AI ​​chatbot about content sources, and the Studio panel on the right, which gives you podcast settings. puts You can also resize the panels:

Google also introduced a new “NotebookLM Plus” subscription that allows you to produce up to 20 Audio Overviews podcasts per day and feed up to 300 different content sources to the AI. This subscription is available to Google Workspace and Cloud users, and from next year it will also be included in the Google One AI Premium subscription.
