Google has recently provided users with a tool called Deep Research, which is able to answer complex questions, find requested items across the web and present the result in the form of a summary.
Features and capabilities of Google Gemina’s deep search tool
When Google first unveiled Gemina AI version 1.5 this year, it introduced it as a reasoning model that can save a lot of time in complex tasks for users by using its own algorithms. Now this company has provided a new way to benefit from the said feature, which is provided under the title of Deep Research. Using the mentioned feature, one can write comprehensive or summary reports about complex topics and take help from various sources including the web to find results.
Although searching with the help of artificial intelligence or writing text using chatbots are not new phenomena; But doing research or at least advanced searches through massive language models is a different step, made possible thanks to Google’s deep search. Using the new feature of Gemina, you can first specify the main axis of the search and then find related texts on the web with it. The user can then use the newly found interesting parts to continue the search; or develop its own search protocol so that the artificial intelligence can continue to work according to it.
Geminai’s artificial intelligence can present important and key findings to the user at each stage of the deep search, from which it is possible to choose to determine the continuation of the search process. Also, the user can increase the focus on a topic or ask Gemina to search more around it to find more diverse results. This feature is very similar to the Pages feature provided by the AI-powered search engine Perplexity, which can create custom pages using user commands to display web search results. It is worth noting that if the user is interested, the findings of Gemina’s deep search can be summarized and placed inside a Google Docs file.
Google plans to add new and diverse features to Geminai’s artificial intelligence so that we can see it getting closer to models that can automatically do things for users. Other big companies in this field, such as OpenAI, are also trying to add similar features to their products, such as ChatGPT, and we will probably see close competition between them in the near future. Needless to say, the deep search feature is only available to Geminai Pro Service plan users, which can be purchased by paying a monthly subscription fee of $20. Also, the mentioned feature currently only supports the English language and there is no news of other languages for it at the moment.
