Artificial intelligence startup Runway from the new feature Expand Video It unveiled the Gen-3 Alpha artificial intelligence model. This feature allows you to resize your original video by generating and expanding the surrounding environment. The Expand Video feature is being rolled out gradually and will be available to everyone soon.

According to Runway, with the new Expand Video feature, if your video is long and long, you can expand it, and if your video is wider, you can increase its length. AI also lets you choose the output size if your input videos are square.

In most cases, Expand Video will give you a good result even without writing a prompt, but you can generate your desired output by sending a text or video message. Of course, you should be careful that the reference image you give to artificial intelligence must have the same color scheme as the original video.

Runway recommends that for good output, the dimensions of your input video should be standard, and the subject of the video should be in the center of the frame. Try not to have graphic elements or text on the original video. To use this feature, just go to the Generative Video section in the Runway dashboard and select the Expand Video option from the left bar. Input videos must be at least 620 pixels wide and 620 pixels high.

Also, videos that are much narrower than normal proportions in both vertical and longitudinal directions will not be accepted; For example, 620x1280p video is 100px narrower than standard 9:16 (720x1280p) video, and AI can’t stretch it.
