With its presence at the GITEX 2024 global event, XPANCEO unveiled a new collection of smart contact lenses.
About XPANCEO, you should know that it is a profound technology company that develops the next generation of invisible and weightless smart contact lenses that give the user a completely natural vision when worn. Dubai-based developers of XR technology don’t make their products for today’s use, but instead look to the future to develop products that allow users to interact with augmented interfaces without the need for a headset or smart glasses.
The reality is that the demand for smart glasses has yet to reach its peak; XPANCEO’s presence in the market in 2024 will be in the form of a demonstration and promotion of a series of prototypes of this company for the future. The company has chosen a good time for this promotion, as interest in augmented reality increases and potentially more adoption of VR headsets.
The GITEX 2024 global event has also been a good platform for the performance of this show; XPANCEO showcased AR contact lens prototypes at the show, including a smart contact lens for ‘AR Vision’, which it says displays high-quality AR images without consuming much.
Alongside the lens, the company introduced XPANCEO Data Reading. A framework that directs real interactive information to the device; This information includes device control inputs and biometric data. According to XPANCEO, users at the GITEX 2024 global event had the opportunity to interact with these prototype devices and features without actually wearing them.
The news comes as XPANCEO won the Best Business for Healthcare and Photonics Middle East Award for its prototype technology, which the company announced will be fully operational in late 2026.
This year seems to be the year of XPANCEO. The company will visit various XR and emerging technology events around the world to showcase its devices and a working prototype promised for 2026. At the AWE Asia 2024 event, the company showcased its latest advancement in AR smart contact lenses.
During the AWE Asia conference, XPANCEO introduced five AR smart contact lens hardware prototypes. The company presented different versions of its AR contact lenses designed for different use cases and users at the AWE event, allowing attendees to see the devices in person.
One of the prototypes is designed to help people with color blindness, and it does this by enhancing color perception using its display technology that is “thinner than a human hair” to adjust light and improve contrast. Another prototype includes optical authentication tools for digital tasks such as payments, money transfers and access to restricted work environments. Additionally, at Mobile World Congress, the company showcased four smart contact lens prototypes, including one with XR in-depth features.
