Over the past year, Google has been working hard to outdo its new competitor, OpenAI, in the field of artificial intelligence and to provide products that can compete with ChatGPT-4. The introduction of the intelligent chatbot “Bard” in the first half of 2023, as well as the “Gemini” model in late 2023, were part of the efforts of this technology giant. Now it seems that Google intends to focus all its focus on the Gemini model and other models of the company, including Bard, will be integrated with this language model.
Over the past few days, an Android developer named Dylan Roussel has obtained information from the Bard chatbot, which states that “Bard is now Gemini.” In the continuation of this information, it is written “We are also developing the user interface to reduce anything that distracts the audience in the image. The readability of the Gemini model is also improved and the navigation of the audience in the environment of this chatbot becomes easier.
Although Google has not yet shown an official reaction to this information; But it is not far from the expectation that this collection will appear in the field of artificial intelligence competition with a single and powerful model. In addition to changing the name of Bard and merging this model with Gemini, information has also been released about the more advanced model of this intelligent chatbot, which announces the release of Gemini Advanced in the near future. This model, which is available to users as a subscription, has the same functionality as the non-free version of ChatGPT-Pluse, and users can benefit from more features by paying a monthly subscription. Some of the features of Gemini Advanced that we expect to see in the final version are voice chat, multi-modal capability, advanced coding, file upload capability for analysis, etc.
Google plans to make Gemini available to users in the form of an application soon, and this chatbot will start its work with English language support. This model will gradually support more languages and increase the number of countries where this service is available. Gemini Advanced is available in 150 countries and territories at launch, with more to come soon.
What do you think about this? Can Google, by integrating Bard and Gemini, develop a chatbot based on artificial intelligence that will beat the competition from ChatGPT and become the flagship of this field? Share your thoughts with us.
