Assistant with Bard apparently won’t have all the features of the traditional Google Assistant

A few months ago, Google announced that it wanted to add Bard’s artificial intelligence capabilities to its personal assistant, Google Assistant, with a new experience called Assistant with Bard. Now, a new report mentions the Assistant with Bard service, which apparently does not support all the features in the classic Google Assistant; Therefore, both versions of Assistant will be offered together, and users must choose one of the two options available from among Google Assistants depending on their specific needs.

Google has been working on Assistant with Bard since October this year. According to One of the sources of Google in XIn addition to Assistant with Bard, another option called Google Assistant, which is the same as the former assistant, is also offered to users, which can be switched between them through the settings. However, it appears that not all of the features of the traditional Google Assistant will be available in Assistant with Bard, although it is not yet clear what exactly each feature will include.

Changing the name of the old Google Assistant

Also, according to this post, after the public release of Assistant with Bard, the old Google Assistant will be renamed to Classic Assistant. So those who still prefer to use the more traditional version of the search engine giant’s assistant will have this feature.

Google has yet to announce an official release date for Assistant with Bard, but the AI-powered experience is expected to be available in the coming months. Likewise, the tech giant plans to integrate Bard’s AI model into literally almost all of its products. For example, recently a new feature was added to YouTube that can understand videos with the help of Bard and users can ask it questions about the videos they want.

Google is also taking a major legal action against fraudsters who took advantage of Bard’s reputation to spread malware.
