“Artificial intelligence” was recognized as the word of the year

Undoubtedly, 2023 was the year when artificial intelligence changed from a specialized word to a common word and opened its foot to people’s daily life. This word is nothing but “AI” or artificial intelligence, which has been used more than 4 times in the last 12 months than in the same period in 2022.

Collins Dictionary is one of the most reliable dictionaries in the world, which has a history of 200 years in collecting words in its portfolio. Every year, this collection chooses a word as the chosen word of the year based on the developments and events that have happened, and this chosen term can well express the most important events of the year. For example, the words “NFT”, “quarantine” and “Brexit” are the words that have had the biggest jump in usage among people in the past years.

The decision was made by the Collins Group after the debate over the pros and cons of artificial intelligence came to a head. In the meantime, some people believe that artificial intelligence is a useful and revolutionary technology that can bring many positive changes to our lives, and on the other hand, a group of people believe that this technology will lead us to an ominous apocalypse in the not-so-distant future. Artificial intelligence will stand against the human race.
