Tutorial on making custom version of ChatGPT and GPT + video

At its first developer conference, OpenAI unveiled new capabilities, the most important of which was the creation of a custom version of ChatGPT, known as GPT Chatbot. In this article, we want to teach you how to create a custom version of ChatGPT or GPT chatbot.

The introduction of the ability to build GPT on the OpenAI platform is likely to revolutionize the use of artificial intelligence chatbots. Now every user who subscribes ChatGPT Plus has, he can design a dedicated chatbot according to his needs and give it the required data. As a result, now you can use these smart assistants in a more specialized way and do different things with their help.

How to make custom version of ChatGPT

To create “agents” or GPTs, just go to chat.openai.com/gpts/editor. Also, if you are on this website, you can click on your name and select My GPTs. In the next step, you need to click on Create a GPT option.

Now the GPT creation page will be available to you. Here, from the Create tab, you can talk to the GPT Builder tool in natural language and ask the artificial intelligence to create the desired GPT. For example, you could say, “Build an intelligent assistant that knows software engineering and can help me format code.”

Next you can choose your GPT name, description and image. You can also change your chatbot settings in a more specialized way by going to the Configure tab. For example, you can tell if the tool has Internet access and can generate images with DALL-E.

Once you’ve made your desired configurations, just click the Publish button and your GPT is ready to use. Now you can share this agent with others.

If you need more advanced configurations, you can go back to the Configure tab. In this tab, you will face many options, which are briefly as follows:

• Adding an image: You can choose an image for your GPT.
• Additional Instructions: You can specify instructions that GPT should obey in its behavior.
• Welcome Message: The welcome and initial message of the chatbot is defined here.
• Prompt Starters: Examples of suggested messages to the user to start a conversation are specified here.
• Knowledge: Here you can provide additional content for GPT to use to provide answers.
• New Capabilities: Capabilities including web browsing, image generation with DALL-E, and advanced data analysis can be enabled from here.
• Custom Actions: You can enable access to third-party APIs for your GPT.
