WhatsApp received the ability to share HD images

Compressing images is an inconvenient but necessary method because the images recorded in new phones are very large and sharing them quickly in messengers such as WhatsApp requires the use of this method. Some time ago, in imitation of Telegram, this messenger received features such as the forums section and increasing the file size limit, and now today the ability to share HD images has been released for it.

Although the compression of images on platforms like Instagram is strongly opposed by users, the use of this method in messengers is understandable because the images should be small and not take up a lot of space to be sent quickly. Since WhatsApp has increased the size limit of attached files to 2 GB, you can now send HD images and videos as attachments to your contacts, but this messenger now has an option to send HD images as well.

Thanks to the mentioned feature, you can send HD images to your contacts by selecting the HD option at the top of the screen. Also, a small HD icon is displayed at the bottom of the images, which shows their resolution. Currently, it is not clear whether this feature uses the compression method, albeit in a limited way, but fortunately HD WhatsApp images support end-to-end encryption and are highly secure. This feature is expected to be available to all users in the coming weeks.
