According to information revealed by a user with the username Unknownz21, the next generation of Apple’s cheaper iPhone SE series will have a design similar to the iPhone 14. This information is consistent with the opinions of a well-known analyst named Ming-Chi Kuo. Kuo said a few months ago that the iPhone SE 4 will have a 6.1-inch screen and will be the first iPhone to use Apple’s 5G modem.
Unknownz21 also said that the iPhone SE 4 will use Face ID instead of Touch ID and will be equipped with a USB-C port for charging and data transfer. Like other iPhone SE models, this phone will have only one camera on the back.
The iPhone SE 4 will also have an action button. This button will probably be used only on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max this year, which will perform various tasks such as activating the camera shutter or running the stopwatch.
It is not yet known what processor Apple will equip the iPhone SE 4 with. Apple usually uses a newer chip in the SE models than the model it is based on. For example, although the iPhone SE 3’s design was similar to the iPhone 8, the latter used the A11 Bionic chip, while the SE 3 was equipped with the A15 Bionic. As a reminder, the iPhone 14 uses the A15 chip.
The iPhone SE 4 will probably be introduced in 2025, and until then Apple may make many changes to it.
