The MetaTrades application was recently introduced and due to the good reception it received, it seemed that it could surpass Twitter in the next few months, but apparently this will not happen so easily.
According to the report published by the data analysis company Similarweb, the number of daily active users of Trades decreased from 49 million to 23.6 million people within a week.
The best day of Tuesdays was July 7, two days after its introduction, but after that, the number of daily active users of this application gradually decreased. Similarweb also said that total minutes of daily use of Threads dropped from 21 minutes on July 7 to about 6 minutes on July 14.
After its introduction, Trades was widely welcomed by users, and according to Quiver Quantitative data, its number of users reached 100 million on July 10. It seems that one of the reasons for the success of Trades in the early days was that it was very easy for Instagram users to create an account. Of course, if this application was available in the European Union, the number of initial users would probably be much higher.
Threads still lacks many of Twitter’s basic features, such as emojis, hashtags, and a timeline. But the good news for Trades is that according to Similarweb data, new Twitter users have decreased from 19% in May 2022 to 16% in May 2023.
