Noting Phone 2 has been officially introduced and compared to its previous generation, it has significant upgrades, which we will discuss below.
Although this phone looks similar to the iPhone 1, its back panel is round, which makes it easier to use. The Glyph design has also been upgraded and now consists of 11 LED strips with 33 lighting zones. These bars will have new uses for displaying various notifications such as volume control or timer indicators.
You can assign specific applications to the top-left LEDs, and Nutmag has opened up the Glyph SDK and API to developers, and we’ll likely see more uses for it in the future.
The display of this phone is a 6.7-inch LTPO OLED panel with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 1-120 Hz. The hole-punch notch is located in the center above the display and hosts a 32-megapixel selfie camera with Sony IMX615 sensor and 1080p video recording at 60 frames per second.
Inside Nanning, the Snapdragon 8 Plus 1st generation chip is used, which replaces the Snapdragon 778G Plus in the iPhone 1. The battery of the phone has a capacity of 4700 mAh, which will be charged at a speed of 45 watts in wired mode and 15 watts in wireless mode. In the software section, Nothing OS 2.0 interface is implemented based on Android 13.
The Notting Phone 2 comes in white and gray and starts at $599/£579/€679 for the 8/128GB version. There’s also a 12/256GB version for $699/£629/€729 and a 12/512GB version for $799/£699/€849. The pre-order of this phone has started today and its sale will start on July 17.
