Over the past decade, customers’ desire for traditional sedans has changed to electric models. With people’s tastes to higher altitude passenger cars, many sedans have come out. Now another sedan seems to be going through its peak. A report from the Automotive website shows that Genesis G70 production will probably stop after the Year 2 model.
According to automotive industry analysts, the Genesis G70 is unlikely to have a second generation and will leave the market after year 6. This does not only include the US market, but it is expected to get out of all world markets such as South Korea. A spokesman for Genesis, however, said they have no plans to stop production of the G70 at present.
The Genesis G70 has been available in the US since year 5, and its year’s model has undergone significant changes to Asn, which includes a more stylish and redesigned front and rear view and a new and larger information and entertainment display. The car is one of the three sedans on the Genesis production line alongside the G80 and G90. Genesis recently confirmed the stopping of the production of the G80 electric version of medium -sized and two -engine electric propulsion.
While the G70 was the third best -selling Genesis in the year, it was far from the GV70 and GV80 electric cars. Last year, the car had 2.3 buyers, which is less than 2.5 years before. In the first half of this year, the Genesis G70 was less welcomed by 2 % than last year. It is worth noting that Genesis has managed to sell the GV70 and the GV80 4.3 GV80 in year 2.
The Genesis G70 is also lagging behind several competitors, luxurious and compact sedans. For example, the Mercedes -Benz Class C has been able to buy 2.5 buyers in year 2. While the BMW Series 2 and Lexus IS in the same year, the buyers had 2.3 and 2.3, respectively. Even the Volvo S60, which has stopped producing, had a sales of 2.5 units in the year.
Stopping the Genesis G70 will be out of the reach of the Genesis car, as the price of the model will start at $ 4.9. If the production of the car stops after year 2, the GV70 is likely to be cheaper at a base price of $ 4.9 per year.
