Xiaomi has officially released details of his plans for Android 3 updates, saying that a number of devices would not benefit from this update. Instead, these models will receive their latest major software updates with the Hyperos 3 version developed based on Android 2. This decision means the end of the update cycle for a wide range of Xiaomi products, including a number of flagship and mid -range models.
This decision is in line with the common practice in the Android industry, with software support for each device only within a limited time interval. From now on, Xiaomi’s main focus will be on Hyperos improvements in supported devices to ensure continuous systematic upgrades and addition of new capabilities.
The end of the Android update in the POCO series will be accompanied by version 2. The following devices will receive their latest major updates with Hyperos 3:
- Poco C65
- Poco F5 5G
- Poco F5 Pro
- Poco M6 Pro
- Poco X6 Neo
In the Redi series, some models will be updated with the Hyperos 3 at the end of the route and will not cross Android 2:
- Redmi 12
- Redmi 12 5G
- Redmi 13C
- Redmi 13C 5G
- Redmi 13r
- Redmi K50 Ultra
- Redmi K60
- Redmi Note 12 4G
- Redmi Note 12 NFC 4G
- Redmi Note 12R
- Redmi Note 12s
- Redmi Note 12t Pro
- Redmi Note 12 Turbo
- Redmi Note 13 4G
- Redmi Note 13 4G NFC
- Redmi Note 13 5G
- Redmi Note 13r Pro
Several Xiaomi flagship models will also reach the end of their major updates with the Hyperos 3:
- Xiaomi 12
- Xiaomi 12 Pro
- Xiaomi 12s
- Xiaomi 12S Pro
- Xiaomi 12S Ultra
- Xiaomi 12t
- Xiaomi 12T Pro
- Xiaomi Civi 3
- Xiaomi Mix Fold 2
If you do not receive Android 2 on your Xiaomi device, there is no worry. The Hyperos 3 version is set to come with new elements in the user interface design that will be inspired by Apple’s “Liquid Glass” style and offers a more smoother and precise user experience. In this update, the smaller control editor will also be upgraded and more capabilities for customization are provided to the user. According to the schedule announced by Xiaomi, the Hyperos 3 release is scheduled for September.
Users who wish to benefit from their current device can receive updates through hyperosupdates.com or use the MEMEOS Enhancer app available at the Google Play Store. This app allows Xiaomi’s more advanced capabilities and up -to -date system applications.
