Xiaomi has registered its first electric car in Germany. The company uses the SU7 Ultra model to provide the basis for its release in Europe in year 6, a move to expand its presence on the world market. In the near future, Xiaomi’s activity in Europe will not be limited to the sale of electronic phones and equipment. The brand, which has recently entered the field of electric cars, has completed the testing process of one of its models in Germany before the official release of year 2.
Company chief William Lu has released an image of the German SU7 Ultra car on the Weibo social network. He also said he had tested the electric car in Munich, Germany. On the installed license plate, the “M SU7088E” code is inserted, which shows the name of the car model.
Leu had earlier announced this year that the Xiaomi Electric Cars, Xiaomi EV, plans to start export by year. He also said that he would travel to several European countries to investigate the Chinese car sales market closely. A few months after the remarks, Lee Joon, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, confirmed the development path. However, he emphasized that the company’s initial focus would remain on the Chinese domestic market and then enter foreign markets.
After a significant entry into the electric transport industry, Xiaomi has ambitious plans to develop its activities in the field of electric cars outside China. The company’s latest product, the YU7 chassis, attracted the attention of the automotive industry immediately after unveiling in the domestic market, with more than 2.5 reservations in the early minutes.
The SU7 has also been more than predicted and has achieved more than 2.5 units a month. The car was introduced in March 2009 and is known as a competitor for the Tesla Model 2. The demand for it is so high that customers have to wait for up to 5 weeks. At present, Xiaomi has a car factory in Beijing with an annual capacity of 4.3 units and has plans to increase this capacity.
