Apple unveiled the new Visionos 26 operating system at the WWDC conference that brings capabilities such as space widgets, promotion of Persona avatars, and new participation features for Apple Vision Pro users.
In the Visionos 26 update, Apple has announced that widgets become space elements that are in the physical environment of the users. These adjustable widgets, including watches, climate, music and photos, are associated with unique interactions and remain in space with each time using a Vision Pro. Users are able to customize their surroundings with panoramic images, space photos, clock designs, and quick access to Apple Music playlists. The new Widgets app also allows users to identify and use iOS and iPados compatible widgets.
In another part of the updates, the Persona has undergone widespread developments, and now using volume and machine learning, they provide a very accurate and detailed reflection of users’ faces. This version of the avatars is capable of displaying full profile and representing details such as hair, eyelashes and skin color. Users can view their Persona space version during the setting process and choose from more than 2.5 different types of glasses.
Another prominent feature is introduced as Spatial Scenes, which, by using productive artificial intelligence and computational depth, turns ordinary images into multiple experiences. Users can view these images from different views in photos, Spatial Gallery and Safari, by bending or changing the angle of view. Zillow also currently uses the Spatial Scene API to present advanced real estate displays in its Immersive app.
Another important improvement in the Visionos 26 is the provision of shared space experiences among several Vision Pro users in one environment. This enables watching 3D films, playing group games, or collaborating on projects; Users can also add to the meetings through Facetime.
The Safari browser has also received a space browser that, while displaying articles, reveals space scenes when scrolling. In addition, web developers can place 3D models directly on the web pages to create more comprehensive shopping experiences. In the game area, support for the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller has been added, which includes high accuracy, finger touch detection, and vibration feedback. The operating system now supports native video content of 2 degrees, 2 degrees, and a wide field of view of Insta360, Gopro and Canon cameras.
In the organizational facilities section, a new feature is provided for the sharing of the device among team members, allowing companies to manage a set of Vision Pro headsets. Users can store eye data, hand -made patterns, visual versions and accessibility settings to the iPhone and easily move between devices. The API of the protected content also ensures that confidential documents remain in full security and prevent copy or video sharing.
Supplementary updates include Look to Scroll for look -based navigation, the ability to unlock the iPhone when using Vision Pro, the ability to transfer voice calls from the iPhone, and support the folder in the Home View view. Finally, Apple Intelligence has been expanded and updates to Image Playground and support French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean and Spanish languages.
