Originally designed for businesses, Google Chat can keep work teams in touch with each other. However, the app is now used by Send users for direct messaging and group chats. The app also has a Spaces feature, through which you can assign tasks and share files. Google Chat can be installed on Android and iOS.
Google has recently introduced seven new features including Smart Compose for Google Chat. This feature provides suggestions that are grayed out in the text bar when the user is typing a message. If you see a suggestion you want to use, tap the tab button to add the suggested words to the message. The Smart Compose feature for the web version of Google Chat is biased in English, French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese.
Also, if you send a message and immediately realize that you forgot a word or typed something wrong, Google Chat has provided the option to edit the message by long pressing on it. By pressing it, a toolbar will appear and you can make your edits by tapping the edit icon that looks like a pencil and tap the Update button. This feature is available for all Google Chat users.
Another new feature in Google Chat will allow you to quote a previous message when sending a reply. This will make the user understand exactly which message has been answered without getting confused. To use this feature, just tap on the message you want to quote and when the toolbox appears, tap the Enter icon and the message you want to reply to will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. Type your answer and submit.
Sometimes, due to poor internet or any other reason, you may not know whether all members of the group have received your message or not. To solve this problem, Google Chat has provided a new feature, with the help of which you will be able to see the icon of people who have received your message on the right side under your post and receive the receipt of reading the messages you have sent. Tapping on the avatars will display the names of those who have received your message. This feature is coming later this month to group messages for mobile and web versions of Google Chat.
Also, if you want to save yourself from adding a long URL to a message in Google Chat, there is a new feature for that. If you want to link something to a group, you can select the text you want and click on the Insert link icon in the toolbar and type the URL you want to link to the text. This feature will be available for Android users and the web version in the coming weeks.
Of course, no one likes a cluttered and cluttered user interface. In the new Google Chat update, if you have more than 10 conversations, any of them that have been inactive for the past seven days will be hidden until they receive a new message. If they receive a message, they will go directly to the top of the list. If you also want to see one of the conversations before sending a new message, tap the more button. This feature is now available to users.
And finally, Google Chat users will be able to install apps for their chats and personal spaces in the coming weeks. Google Chat users can use Giphy to add GIFs, Asana to assign tasks and add to-do lists to group chats, and Zapier for custom notifications.
