YouTube is apparently testing a new product called Playables that will enable online gaming. The Wall Street Journal reported that the goal of this work is more than hosting games on a platform, and users will be able to run and share games on it.
According to today’s report, the Playables product will allow users to play games through their Android or iOS devices, as well as through the YouTube website on PC devices. One of these games that is being tested is called Stack Bounce, which is a fun game.
Despite shutting down the Stadia platform, Google seems to be looking to focus on other areas to compensate for the decline in ad revenue. YouTube is one of the most powerful video streaming platforms and has already released a lot of gaming content in the form of videos, shorts and live streams. But now users have to wait for the games to run and share them on YouTube with their friends.
Now we have to wait and see how successful Google will be in doing this.
