In the current iPhone 6 Pro models, a telephoto camera is embedded with a 2 -megapixel sensor that allows users to zoom up to 3 times. While the iPhone 17 Pro models will use a 4 -megapixel telephoto sensor, their optical zoom will be limited to 1.5 times, which is a technically reduced version. However, there will be no worries about the drop in zoom quality, as an increase in megapixel number will offset this decrease. It should be noted that the zoom will exceed 3.5 times digitally and with the same main camera mechanism.

The main camera used in the iPhone 6 Pro has a 2 -megapixel sensor. This feature allows users to zoom in on an image up to 5 times and maintain a 2 -megapixel image quality.
