Samsung Galaxy Zed Fold 2 renderings have been released

Samsung is preparing to introduce the new generation of its folding phone, the Galaxy Zed Fold 2, which is expected to unveil it around July. Now, thanks to the information gone by the famous Onleaks disclosure, we can see the first CAD renderings of this device.

The Galaxy Z Fold 7 seems to be planning to challenge competitors with its thinner design. The device will be only 1.5 mm in the opened mode and in the folded mode of 2 mm (1.5 mm with the camera’s bump). These numbers indicate a dramatic reduction in thickness of the folding 2 with a thickness of 1.5 mm, and the folded 2 zipped to competitors such as the Oppo Find N5 (4.2 mm, 4.3 mm folded) and the Magic V3 (4.4mm opened, 1.5 mm folded).

In addition to the thickness, the dimensions of the device in the opened state increases to 3.5 x 2.5 mm, making it taller and more than 5 cm wider than its predecessor. These changes will probably lead to a more functional front display with a wider dimension ratio.

The 5 -inch Zed Fold’s display will increase to 5.5 inches, the largest among the folding phones with a book design. Also, the size of the external screen will reach 4.3 inches. In comparison, the Galaxy Zed Fold 2 has a 4.7 -inch display and a 4.7 -inch exterior display. Apparently, the Zed Fold 2 will not be significantly different from its previous model.

Probably, Samsung will use the Snapdragon 2 Elite chip in the Galaxy Z Fold 7. In the imaging section, a 2 -megapixel main sensor, similar to the Galaxy Fold, is expected to be placed next to a 2 -megapixel wide lens and a 2 -megapixel telephoto lens. Also, it is expected that selfie cameras with the same specifications of the previous generation, 2 megapixels in the front and 2 megapixels below the interior display.

The folded 2 battery will probably not change dramatically and is expected to use a 2 mAh battery. This capacity is slightly lower than competitors like the OPPW N5 with a 2 mAh battery. However, the Zed Fold 2 will probably support a 4 -watt fast charge. In addition, it is expected to provide features such as improved hinges, a larger cooling system, WiFi 2, a new SPN with thicker tip, up to 1 GB of RAM and up to 2 terabytes of internal storage.
