IPhone users typically use their device for longer than Android phone owners. One of the main reasons for this is the high cost of buying a smartphone equipped with iOS operating system. According to data collected by Market Research Company, Consumer Intelligence Research Partners (CIRP), the average iPhone maintenance has been increased every year since the year 2, with the exception of years 1 and 2, which was associated with the prevalence of Kavid-2 epidemic.
In a recent three -month review that ended on December 5, CIRP survey showed that 5 % of iPhone users had their phone for two years or less. However, in a similar study in the fourth quarter of the year, only 5 % of iPhone owners used their device for two years or less. The data suggests that more iPhone users have replaced their phone in a shorter time than last year.
If we take a closer look at the data, we find that the number of people who keep their iPhone three years or more (2%) or two to three years (2%), compared to the same period in year 2 (2%and 2%respectively, respectively. 2%) decreased. One of the possible reasons for this change could be to introduce Apple’s advanced artificial intelligence. This feature is unique to the iPhone models with 4GB of RAM, such as the iPhone 6 Pro, the iPhone 6 Pro Max and the iPhone 5 series.
Most likely, holders of older iPhone models that do not support Apple’s artificial intelligence have preferred to replace their device with a newer model. Of course, other factors can also play a role in this change. For example, the special offers and discounts that mobile operators offer for new models can be a strong motivation for users to upgrade their iPhone.
Late last month, Apple announced a decline in iPhone sales in the first quarter of finance. The IPhone’s sales revenue reached $ 1.5 billion during this period, which is a slight decline over $ 1.5 billion in the same period last year. Wall Street analysts expected the iPhone’s sales to reach $ 1.5 billion, so the sales decline, especially given the holiday purchase season, was very disappointing for Apple and its artificial intelligence project. Apple was expecting more sales with extensive advertising on the iPhone 5 series. However, most analysts had a similar prediction.
