Poco has introduced two new 5G phones: a mid-range model from the M series and a budget phone from the C series.
Poco M7 Pro 5G is equipped with a 6nm Dimension 7025 Ultra chip, which has two powerful Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and six low-power Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz. This phone comes in two versions with 6GB and 8GB RAM and 128GB and 256GB internal memory. The Poco M7 Pro 5G runs HyperOS (based on Android 14) and will receive two years of OS updates and four years of security patches.
The phone features a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate, protected by Gorilla Glass 5. Its fingerprint sensor is placed under the display, while it was on the side of the device in the previous model.
The Poco M7 Pro 5G camera system includes a 50-megapixel main camera with Sony LYT-600 sensor and f/1.5 aperture, which supports optical (OIS) and electronic (EIS) image stabilization. However, the maximum recording resolution of this camera is limited to 1080p with a rate of 30 frames per second. The selfie camera also has a 20-megapixel sensor. Unfortunately, this phone lacks an ultra-wide camera.
At the bottom of the device, there is a USB-C port that is able to quickly charge the 5110 mAh battery with a power of 45 watts. This is a significant improvement over the previous model which supported 18W charging.
Poco M7 Pro 5G with a thickness of 7.99 mm and a weight of 190 grams fits easily in the hand. Also, this device has IP64 standard.
The basic model of this phone with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory can be purchased at a price of $176. Also, the 8 GB RAM and 256 GB internal memory model will be available for $200.
