New images attributed to iPhone 17 Pro show the strange design of this new Apple phone.
Earlier, it was rumored that the iPhone 17 Pro camera protrusion will be rectangular, unlike the previous models, which were square. In that report, it was also mentioned that the frame of this phone will be made of aluminum instead of titanium. After that, a new report came out that indicated that Apple is using titanium for the Pro models, so the validity of the strange rumor about the camera bump has been called into question.
It has recently been published on the social network Weibo with an image of an iPhone case, which is claimed to have been obtained from the iPhone supply chain. The cameras are placed in the upper part and the ultrawide lens in the middle. This layout is the slimmest, so there’s plenty of room for Face ID on the other side.
The famous whistleblower Digital Chat Station has also given credibility to these rumors by publishing a possible image of the iPhone 17 Pro. The image released by the leaker is related to the original rumor which claimed that the back will be a combination of aluminum and glass.
The camera arrangement of the iPhone 17 Pro will be similar to the Google Pixel series phones, but as you can see in the image below, Google has placed its cameras lower than the iPhone 17 Pro. However, it’s basically impossible to keep the iPhone 17’s design horizontal without covering at least some of the cameras.
Apple has always been ergonomically conscious, so it’s hard to believe they made a design mistake. The iPhone 17 series is almost a full year away, and it’s likely that they’ve been experimenting with this kind of design. We have to wait and see what changes may happen until the release of this iPhone.
