Samsung’s Galaxy S series traditionally uses a combination of Snapdragon and Exynos processors in its various models. But this procedure seems to change in the new generation of these flagships.
Famous leaker Ice Universe has claimed that all Galaxy S25 models will be equipped with Qualcomm’s powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. This means that Samsung has decided to abandon the Exynos 2500 chipset for this flagship series.
Apparently, the Exynos 2500, which is based on Samsung’s 3nm technology, is facing the problem of low efficiency. It is said that only 20% of the chips produced with this technology have the required quality.
This greatly increases the cost of production. On the other hand, Snapdragon 8 Elite, produced by TSMC with 3nm technology, has a much higher efficiency (more than 80%) and is more economical.
According to predictions, Samsung plans to unveil the Galaxy S25 series in January 2025.
