Recently, we saw the unveiling of the Galaxy A16 5G by Samsung, and now its 4G version has arrived with attractive specifications.
The Galaxy A16 4G is very similar to its 5G version and has a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, a powerful 5000 mAh battery with 25W charging capability, and a triple camera system including a 50-megapixel main sensor and a 5-megapixel ultra-wide camera. And the depth sensor is 2 megapixels on the back and the selfie camera is 13 megapixels on the front.
The phone is designed with a 7.9mm thick body and is IP54 certified for dust and water resistance, which is a significant upgrade over the A15 which was 8.4mm thick and had no IP standard. This is an important development in the series, as previous models such as the A1x and A2x had no IP certification and required an upgrade to the A3x for such a feature.
Samsung has not yet announced the name of the chip that will power the Galaxy A16 4G. But considering that the A15 4G model uses the Helio G99 chip, it is possible that the new model will use the Helio G100 chip, which is a minor update compared to the G99.
The G100 chip supports 200MP cameras, although this feature may not be available on the new phone. The Galaxy A16 4G retains the same configuration as the previous model and comes with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, along with a microSD slot up to 1TB.
There is no 3.5 mm headphone jack on this phone. Samsung has not mentioned the price. But considering the pricing of the A15 and A15 5G models, it is expected that the price of the 4G model will drop by around 50 euros.
The Samsung Galaxy A16 4G is scheduled to be released in November and will receive six years of software updates. This phone will be available in gray, green and blue colors.
