According to a new report, Samsung is making a cheaper version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 to maintain its dominance in the foldable phone market.
According to the ETNews website, Samsung plans to launch another version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 phone with a lower price and features. It should be mentioned that earlier, there were rumors that this Korean company was trying to make other versions of the Galaxy Fold 6, such as its cheaper model.
According to the leaked information, one of the most obvious features of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which is the support for the S-Pen pen, has been removed in its economic version; However, other differences between these two phones have not yet been identified.
It is likely that Samsung will release the cheaper Galaxy Fold 6 model similar to the original version but with fewer features, like the Galaxy FE and Galaxy A series phones; It means that by weakening some hardware parts such as camera or RAM, it reduces the final cost.
But why did Samsung go to make a cheap model of its folding phone in the first place? The answer to this question is clear; Because of the competition. Although the foldable phone market was dominated by Samsung until some time ago, the competition has become more difficult with the presence of more companies in this field; Therefore, this Korean giant needs to attract buyers by offering cheaper phones to maintain its dominance in the market.
The Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 are expected to be announced in July or August.
