According to a recent report, Samsung is considering the idea of ​​making the next generation Galaxy Watch with a rectangular display.

In 2013, Samsung first unveiled the Galaxy Gear smart watch with a rectangular design, and after that, it managed to launch two smart watches, Gear 2 and Gear Live, with the same appearance as the first version. But since then, we haven't seen a new version of those rectangular watches, and the Korean company decided to launch its smartwatch with a circular display.

But recently, a report has been published in this regard, and if it is true, we can expect the relaunch of Samsung smart watches with a rectangular design. According to this report, apparently Samsung has decided to re-implement the idea of ​​making smart watches with rectangular or square screens; But surely this time it will introduce them under the Galaxy Watch brand.

The published report also claims that Samsung employees are eagerly exploring the idea of ​​making the next-generation Galaxy Watch with a rectangular display, so it is very likely that we will see such watches introduced again.

However, it is not yet clear when Samsung will use this design for its watches. This may happen at the same time as the introduction of Galaxy Watch 7 along with the next generation of folding phones of this company; The event is scheduled to take place in early to mid-July. There is also a possibility that these types of watches will not be introduced until 2025.
