Samsung is preparing to introduce the Galaxy A55 in the new year and now its live images have been revealed.
The phone has just received TENAA certification, which the images show us. The Galaxy A55 has appeared on the TENAA database with the model number SM-A5560, and as seen in the images, there is a triple camera system on the back panel.
The phone has a Key Island design with a flat frame and rounded corners. Galaxy A55 will most likely run Android 14 and will receive Android updates for up to four years.
The Galaxy A55 was recently spotted on Geekbench with the Exynos 1480 chip, which will be a significant upgrade over the Exynos 1380 in the A54 and the Exynos 1280 in the A53. The chip will not use a Mali GPU, but instead an AMD RDNA2-based Xclipse 530 GPU.
This processor can theoretically have ray tracing capabilities in games. In the processing department, we will also see improvements compared to the Exynos 1380, so that the Galaxy A55 scored a single-core score of 1127 and a multi-core score of 3090 in Geekbench, while the A54 scored 1108 and 2797 respectively.
Recently, Galaxy A25 was seen in the Geekbench database and some of its specifications were revealed. According to Geekbench information, the Galaxy A25 5G uses the Exynos 1280 chip, which has two cores with a frequency of 2.40 GHz and six cores with a frequency of 2.0 GHz.
For comparison, the Galaxy A24 used the MediaTek Helio G99 chip. The Geekbench listing also mentions that this phone uses 8 GB of RAM.
According to rumors, the Galaxy A55 will use an under-display fingerprint sensor, a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. This phone will also have Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C port and a 5000mAh battery with 25W charging.
Galaxy A55 may be introduced next month along with Galaxy A35.
