Apple CEO Tim Cook has officially confirmed that the company is developing capabilities based on generative artificial intelligence.

Cook announced during Apple's financial conference that Apple's artificial intelligence will arrive this year and all users will have access to it. Recently, Bloomberg reported that iOS 18 will be the biggest update in the history of iOS with advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.

Apparently, Apple wants to bring various artificial intelligence capabilities to iOS 18 to compete with Google and Samsung. Bloomberg has said that Apple may not make any major changes to the iPhone 16, although some rumors have pointed to an increase in the size of the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max screens to 6.3 and 6.9 inches, but iOS 18 is something more. It will be more than usual to encourage customers to buy one of the iPhone 16 models.

Tim Cook did not give more details in this field, but it seems that Apple has an extensive plan to be in the artificial intelligence market. So far, many companies have entered the AI ​​market, including OpenAI and Google, and even Samsung recently introduced AI capabilities in its Galaxy S24 series.

Apple has just released the first internal build of iOS 18, but the presence of some bugs in it has stopped the release of subsequent versions. There are usually four stages to the development of any iOS operating system, each of which takes about six weeks. All four phases are expected to be completed before iOS 18 is announced at WWDC 2024.

Samsung has just introduced the Galaxy S24 series with many artificial intelligence capabilities. The company has announced that several artificial intelligence features of the Galaxy S24 series will also be offered to the company's previous devices. According to the company, many of the Galaxy AI features will be available for older models including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Flip 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series by the first half of 2024.

Therefore, the Galaxy AI capabilities will not be exclusive to the Galaxy S24 series, and older Samsung devices will also receive them. One of the artificial intelligence capabilities of Galaxy S24 will be the possibility of live translation of phone calls. In this feature, artificial intelligence will be used for simultaneous translation.
