Trades now allows you to delete your account without deleting your Instagram account

It is possible to delete the Trades account without deleting the Instagram account. The Trades service, which Meta introduced in Taistan, met with the influx of Instagram users and reached 100 million users in just five days. However, users quickly realized that if they created a Trades account, the only way to delete it was to delete their entire Instagram account.

Now Adam Mossari, the head of Instagram, has announced that this restriction has been lifted. Users who want to leave Trades can go to Settings > Account > Delete or Deactivate Profile. This option allows you to suspend or permanently delete your account. In any case, your Instagram account will not be affected.

Meta recently changed the way it displays Tradeds posts, showing them on other Meta platforms like Facebook. Now it’s announced today that you can limit this (by going to Settings > Privacy). Note that this will only apply to Facebook and not Instagram, which will show your Threads posts.
