Gholamreza Nabi, today, December 2nd, in the specialized panel on women’s participation in environmental protection, which was held at the Lorestan Chamber of Commerce, said: We should pay attention to the promotion role of women in sustainable development, because they can be effective in the field of education and innovative procedures.
He stated that it is necessary to pay attention to the issue of waste and added: The problem of solid waste is a major problem of municipalities and we tried to have executive plans for waste management and its improvement.
We need to define an action plan that shows what actions can be taken.
Nabi added: The environment has been a resource and a blessing that has been given to us, but unfortunately, human activities have had bad effects, especially after industrialization, and this is an issue that city managers emphasize.
This full professor of the Faculty of Environment of Lorestan University said: We should pay attention to the issue of culture, solving problems by looking at culture, women should be at the center of environmental decision-making because women can be transmitters of culture and supporters of moral values and promoters of environmental issues.
He said: the role of women’s activism can be very structured and they can institutionalize moral values in the family; For example, women can play a key role in reducing waste production, water consumption management, clean cooking methods and hygiene, and this is a very important point.
Nabi stated that culture does not stop and we should seek to change behavior, and noted that women can play a creative role in reducing waste.
