NASA’s concern about starship launches and the delay of man’s return to the moon

Because this device may not be ready for the Artemis 3 mission in 2025. Jim Frey, the vice president of NASA’s Exploration Systems Division, announced in a meeting with the engineers of the National Aeronautics and Space Academy that the Artemis 3 mission, which is considered to be the second landing of humans on the moon, may be delayed.

According to him, NASA is concerned about the number of SpaceX launches for this mission. Because in each mission, in addition to the launch of the lunar lander itself, it is also necessary to launch several refueling starships to provide fuel in the Earth’s orbit. Also, before carrying out this mission, this company must send the desired lunar lander to the moon without a crew. Supercooled fuel transfer should also be tested in Earth orbit.

According to Frey, this mission requires many launches. According to him, SpaceX has to perform a large number of launches to carry out this mission, and this issue will cause concern to carry out the mission in 2025. He expressed his concern about the timing of this mission and said that considering SpaceX’s problems, this seems worrying.

After the first test launch, the starship has problems with the launch system and super heavy. Of course, NASA sent a group of engineers to research the latest Starship launch. Federal Aviation Administration officials will also try to issue a permit for the next launch.
